Dr. Feola was born in Vermont and went to high school at Gould Academy in Bethel, Maine. In the early 1980's he spent four years in the Air Force stationed in Torrejon, Spain. He received a B.S. in both Biology and Chemistry from Atlantic Christian College and his Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine at NCSU.
He worked as a veterinary assistant from 1976-1992 at various animal hospitals including Bethel Animal Hospital, Maine; Hospital de Animales Conillejas, Madrid, Spain; Countryside Animal Hospital in Wilson, NC; and Clayton Animal Hospital, Clayton, NC. Since graduating from veterinary school in 1993, Dr. Feola worked at the following hospitals: Clayton Animal Hospital, The Animal Emergency Clinic at Tryon Hills, Robinson Animal Hospital and Johnston Animal Hospital. In August 2006, he joined the AMC of Garner team.
His love for animals started very young and he really does not remember a time he ever wanted to be anything other than a veterinarian. He has always had a large menagerie at home and continues to do so. He currently has Jersey cows, sheep, goats, chickens, geese, rabbits, two Bull Mastiffs, four cats, chinchillas and various other little critters.
He is married to Kathy and has three children, Christopher, Elizabeth and Michael. He is very active with his church, Holland's United Methodist Church, including singing in the choir. He is an active leader for both cub scouts at Pack 10 and boy scouts at Troop 10. His hobbies are making stained glass windows, reading, camping and all of his animals.
